Pavitra Yatra Dham Vikas Board

Government of Gujarat has recently formed a board called Shree Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board considering importance and scarceness of Yatradhams, located within the state. Also considering the requirements of tourist and devotees, Shree Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board has undertaken following project in partnerships with semi governmental and private organizations.

1. Conservation and Development of Gomti River:

Renovation work of Gomti Ghat and 56 Sidis [located at Swarga Dwara of the Jagat Mandir], have been undertaken jointly by Shree Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board, Dwarkadhish Devasthan Samiti and Reliance Petroleum Limited. Recently Hon. Chief minister of Gujarat [on 23.12.2001], laid down the foundation stone for this project and is expected to be over by March 2002.

2. Widening of the Connecting State Highway with the City:

Dwarka is located in western edged of the state, is connected with district headquarter Jamnager by State Highway No: 25. As part of developmental plans for Dwarka, the state government has initiated the process of widening SH 25, and converting existing road to four lanes.

3. Water and Power Supply to Dwarka:

Dwarka and other town of Okha Mandal currently supplied water from Sani Dam located in Kalyanpur Taluka. Local civic bodies install the sumps and arranges for water distribution. Considering the continuously increasing flow of the tourist and even increasing demand from the local population, a master plan with long term orientation.
